LDCC have been going strong since the early 1970's with many loyal members flying the flag for LDCC. We participate in the London League, organise the Annual LDCC Championship, Annual Lightning tournament, the Annual Richard Willson Quickplay tournament as well as social games and practice sessions. We have represented the EDCA in the Europa Cup for Deaf Chess Clubs on many occasions, the most recent being in Kiev, Ukraine last Easter.

We are based in 38, Ebury Street, London, SW1 and our club nights are on Friday evenings from September to May.

LDCC in Europa Cup, Kiev April 2003
The LDCC squad was;
Phillip Gardner (Letchworth), Barry David (Finchley), Alasdair MacLeod (Crystal Palace), Ilan Dwek (Cricklewod) and Michael Freund (Edgware).

We were seeded 7th out of 12 European Deaf Chess Clubs and eventually finished a creditable 7th. The winners were Kiev of Ukraine, 2nd was St. Petersburg of Russia and 3rd place surprisingly went to Zagreb of Croatia. Well, it was thanks to LDCC's 2-2 final round draw against the strong Sofia of Bulgaria team that helped the Croatians to their bronze medals!
